We need your help in moving our Nature Trail and Outdoor Classroom project forward.  We have cut trees, cleared brush, installed drainage, repaired the dam and started to cover the trail with bark chips.  Although we have completed numerous tasks there are still plenty of projects remaining to be completed.

            We have included on this web page a list of proposed projects.  We are also open to any suggestions.  We have also included a Trail Blazer Campaign brochure.  Please take a few minutes to review this information and hopefully you will decide to get involved.

            We have already received a $5,000.00 donation from Robert and Shirley Kildow in memory of their son, Barry Robert Kildow.  They are graciously willing to donate another $1,000.00 upon the event another donor delivers a $5,000.00 donation. 

            In 2008 over 100 students participated in a naming and logo contest for the Nature Trail. First place was awarded to Seth B., ULMS 7th grader, and the runner-up was 6th grader Cody T. The winner was awarded an Ipod Nano and will have his name printed on the t-shirt. Also, a high school student will be completing projects on the trail for his Eagle Scout Badge.

            One walk on our trail will inspire you.  The trail has already caused curiosity among our students.  This curiosity has lead to creation and innovation in our classrooms.

            The wooded acreage, pond and our beautiful campus was created to serve a purpose.  Help us to better define that purpose to serve our students, staff and community for generations.
