On behalf of the Union Local School District, welcome to our website. Our website has changed and I encourage you to explore some of the new features that are designed to make your visit a fruitful one. How long has it been since you have visited your school? I can say that our children are well represented by very caring and supportive families. That support shows in the way most of our students choose to represent Union Local and themselves. The high level of support is also evident at our many events. So, if you haven’t visited the school lately please come. Our students, teachers and administrators would love to see you. We do understand that now, probably more than at any other time in our lives, we need the interaction of positive teachers, staff, parents, administrators and students. I urge you to be an encourager. I am so proud of the progress the District students have made recently, both academically and on the athletic front. We still have work to do but I recognize the efforts made to accomplish the little victories that no one hears about and the grand victories, both of which make us all, young and old, walk with pride. Thank you parents, teachers, staff and students for your efforts in helping our district to continuously improve. Finally, the district needs to economize on every front. It falls to each of us in the system to tighten the belt while focusing on placing every possible dollar into classroom instruction. I am reminded daily that our staff cares immensely about providing a quality education, even as it monitors spending at every level. Providing superior services at an affordable cost is the foundation of public education in Union Local, where our focus is on what is best for the student, efficiency and accountability.
